I have my Atari 2600, my NES and SNES. My best friend, a more avid collector than me, has:

      2600
      7800
      Magnavox Odyssey 2
      Sega Master System
      Sega Genesis
      Fairchild Channel F
      and Nintendo Virtual Boy.

He's been looking for a Vectrex.

I own classic stand-up arcade games, currently:

        Donkey Kong
        Asteroids
        Gravitar
        Tempest
        Battlezone
        Turbo
A Multi-Williams set up (Joust, Robotron, Defender, Moon Patrol +)
        Boot Hill
        Armor Attack
        Tron

+ a bunch of dead games I've yet to bring back to life and 3 pins.

My wife made me get rid of the standup I had when she met me. Too small of aplace, and an arcade in the livingroom only works in a bachlor pad. As soon as I get a basement, though...

I kept my strider board and marquee, however. I want to do a full restoration with it.

I used to own a lot of systems. At the moment i got the Swedish version of Channel F called "Luxor Entertainment System". Novadays i play a lot of emulatorgames on the PC. Mostly SNES, Genesis and Mame. I LOVE the old games.

I've only got a coupla 2600s, with 75 or so games.

And I've got a question, cuz I'm no electrical engineer (tho I'm guessing the answer is obvious...):

Can a blown-out/fried 2600 be brought back? Are the inside guts available? One of mine got fried when someone plugged too many things into a socket, and I'd love to get it working again.

Also, does anyone remember Megamania? Does anyone have it/wanna get rid of it/know of any PC emulations of it?

      Danke. :)

You can't buy new guts, but you can replace fried parts with common electrical parts. But you'd have to be familiar with electronics and using a multimeter to figure out what stuff got fried. One common thing is to see if it's getting power, the cords get fried in appliances more often than you think. I've bought a couple dead stand up arcade games for cheap that simply needed the cord or power supply replaced to get running again. But is it worth the effort with a 2600?
